CITAC-ACCFC is the only trainee-run organization that supports and represents Canadian clinician-investigator trainees. Our goal is to provide interaction for this very unique group of trainees outside of their local institutions and to further develop career opportunities for future clinician scientists in Canada. We now represent over 240 active clinician-investigator trainees. We are always looking for new ideas, as well as extra hands to help!

Elections for the 2010-11 will be held in September, around the time of the AGM in Ottawa, for the following positions:

- President-Elect

- VP External- Elect

- VP Internal-Elect

- Treasurer

- Secretary

- Committee Chairs:

  • Finance Chair
  • CIP Chair
  • Policy Chair
  • Membership Chair
  • Mentorship Chair
  • CIM chair

2010 CITAC-CSCI Annual Meeting and Young Investigators Forum

It's that time of year again! The CITAC-CSCI Annual Meeting and Young Investigators' Forum will be held in Ottawa, ON from September 20-22, 2010. Abstract submission is now closed, but meeting registration will remain open until the event.

ANNUAL MEETING REGISTRATION:

Be sure to register with CITAC, in order to take part in the annual meeting, including an International Medical Research Symposium, Career Panels, a Technology, Business and Knowledge Translation Plenary, and Mentorship Cocktail Reception on Monday September 20. Cost to register is $35 if you do so BY JUNE 18.

Late Registration will be accepted up to September 19, at a cost of $50.

1. If you need to avail of hotel accomodation for dates beyond September 19th (check in) to the 22nd (check-out), please contact the hotel directly.

2. If you specify a room type and it is not available, the website will automatically redirect you to what is available. You should then be able to register. If you are having trouble with this, please use the downloadable attachment provided on our website or contact the hotel directly. 1st issue of the CIM Trainee Section now available online!

We are pleased to announce that the Canadian Society for Clinical Investigation (CSCI) and CITAC-ACCFC have established an innovative opportunity for early career development through the creation of a CIM Trainee Section in the Clinical and Investigative Medicine (CIM) journal. An article on the creation of a Trainee Section is featured in the February issue of the CIM.
