Dr. Inman’s research focuses on the interaction of infection and autoimmunity and the environmental-genetic interplay in the pathogenesis of arthritis. This research encompasses translational research of spondylitis and related forms of arthritis, animal models of infection-induced arthritis and autoimmunity, and the cell biology of host:pathogen interactions.

Dr. Inman is appointed as the director of the Spondylitis Program At Toronto Western Hospital and the director of the Research, Musculoskeletal Health and Arthritis Program at the University Health Network. He is also a senior scientist at the Toronto Western Research Institute (TWRI) and a professor of Medicine and Immunology at University of Toronto.

The lab studies the genetics of overgrowth conditions such as the Beckwith-Wiedemann syndrome (BWS) and Simpson-Golabi-Behmel syndrome (SGBS). Her lab is the research interface between clinical genetics assessments on patients and understanding imprinting and epigenetic lesions in genetic syndromes and sporadic cancers.

Dr. Weksberg is actively involved in developing a five-year strategic plan for Clinical and Metabolic Genetics at Sick Kids. In addition to being a staff physician at the Hospital for Sick Children, she is a senior associate scientist and professor at the University of Toronto.
