CITAC-ACCFC is run exclusively by trainees and was created to facilitate networking and represent the unique needs of MD+ (MD/MSc, MD/PhD, CIP, SSP, etc) trainees across Canada. Given the large distance separating these individuals among Canadian institutions, this website is the principal means by which CITAC-ACCFC members communicate with one another outside of the Annual General Meeting (held each fall in conjunction with the Canadian Society for Clinical Investigation and the Friends of the CIHR annual meetings).

Are you or have you ever been enrolled in a Canadian clinician invesigator training program? If so, please consider applying for membership in CITAC-ACCFC by filling out the registration form in the menu on the left.

Membership is free and offers many benefits, including:

  1. Complete a member profile highlighting areas of research interest, recent publications, etc.
  2. Engage in networking opportunities with all Canadian MD+ trainees including one-to-one and group interactions, annual meetings and online discussion forums relating to current topics in clinician investigator training at all levels and stages of training.
  3. Gain immediate access to ad hoc mentorship from established clinician investigators from many areas of clinical expertise and research interests across Canada.
  4. All CITAC members receive a discounted registration rate for the CITAC/ACCFC Annual General Meeting and Young Investigators Forum.
  5. Access organized information about upcoming local and international events and meetings relevant to clinician investigators.
  6. Have access to a variety of resources about career and funding opportunities and relevant literature.
  7. Take advantage of opportunities to provide input regarding the unique concerns of MD+ trainees, thereby helping CITAC define new areas of focus, program development and lobbying.
  8. Get involved in administrative activities to help guide the future directions and mandate of CITAC-ACCFC.
  9. All registered CITAC-ACCFC members are eligible for Associate Membership in CSCI (Canadian Society for Clinical Investigation) at a reduced rate of annual dues.
  10. Opportunity to publish in the Medline-indexed journal Clinical & Investigative Medicine.
